Description

09/30/08 EDITS:

1) I added the ghost to the no-logos.
2) Replaced the no-logo from Pepper's front left chest with a "Pepper" nametag at his request (they're based off real people, remember?).
3) Added red names into the name tags to the fronts of each character.

Note: In the comics and animation I may leave these tiny details out if I have to.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

The cartoonist got a little carried away when he put up the first issue cover. He forgot the developmental stages, and here is some of that now. This is not only a character line up and height chart, but it is also a palette colorization sheet and displays the official logo.

By the way, if you didn't know, cartoonists often use "heads" system to chart the height of their characters. For example, Hutchins and Pepper are about 6 heads tall.

A lot of tough decisions were made when it comes to height and colors. Some of it may even be changed later. Anyway, these four characters are the cartoon versions of four real people who are Ghostbuster fans and make up the fan group CNCGB for which the comic is named. In reality Boyer (that's me) is actually the tallest, but for comical purposes he envisioned his character as shorter - plus he didn't want people to think he was an Egon Spengler clone. The glasses were also changed from the red frame color they had on the CNCGB issue 1 front cover in order to further separate the character from Dr. Spengler's RGB version.

Hutchins is wearing the CNCGB night time flight suit, which I think was originally inspired by another online Ghostbusters fan comic or fan fiction art. I think it was, "Night Patrol." Either way this idea came about when we were actually making our costumes. I imagined a flight suit with neon green logo, elbow pads, and pistol belt. It never became a reality, but we thought this would make a nice addition to the comic world. I dressed Hutchins up in the "Night suit" because there was no need in a colorization sheet if there were already two others wearing the same color scheme in their clothing. As a matter of fact, had their been a third deviation from the khaki flight suit I would have dressed Gray or myself in it. Anyway, in the comics we will usually wear khaki unless there is a reason otherwise.

Also note: I tried to pull for different color flight suits like in The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series, but my team rejected the idea because they like the original movie colors better. Yeah, I have to agree with that also.

I forgot to draw Ecto Goggles on the Boyer character. Oh well. And if you were wondering, the Pepper character is our team's mechanic - he doesn't actually bust ghosts with us unless the story forces him to. This was inspired by the fact that he wouldn't dress up in flight suit in real life. Also, he is a mechanic in reality. In the comic he will keep the Ecto vehicles and other machinery in top working order around CNCGB HQ.

Also, Boyer feels strange talking about Boyer in the third person. Boyer.
